Did you consider looking a bit closer to home for your mission field? How about the streets, sewers, parks, and even shopping malls of any large city in the US? You need some hints? New York City, Boston, Cleveland, Detroit, Chicago, Houston, Denver, Los Angeles... maybe even YOUR home town!!"

first of all, i dont actually live in the US, but Im aware that this is not the main point of your argument. I live in Australia, and you're right, there's plenty of injstice and corruption around, but not much in the way of poverty, admittedly. However, I think you're right. Helping people overseas is great but genorosity starts at home. And i have participated in local charities, and helping people in my hometown, such as visiting nursing homes, preparing christmas hampers for local poor kids, and other such acts. This year, I will be working on the streets of Sydney with homless people. So yes, I have considered the mission field closer to home. Maybe not as much as I should have, I am sometimes selfish. But im not immune to the suffering around me.

Having said all that, Im a big believer in helping wherever you can. I helped in Africa simply because I was blessed with the opportunity to go there. I felt God called me tp helping those particular people and to raising awareness for their plight now.

Wonderful site Genna,
I was in Zim' for a few weeks back in 1999 and saw the beginning of what you have now shown here. The time to act is now, not all of us can go, but we can give. Where is the U.N. when we see a tyranical govt like this this one deliberatley starving it's own people. I feel both sadened and angered after looking through yous site.

The people in my country is going through a difficult time. Most people can not afford decent meals and housing with inflation over 1000%. I fully appreciate the donations and the time you have put to help these people they could use a lot of it.

I just wanted to let you know that the traditional chiefs are not chosen by the government. Chieftainship has been passed down generations however they are strongly inclined to the ZANU PF party . The chiefs have control as to who stays where in their 'kraal' that is why some people could not go back to their rural homes.

Other than the clean up process there are many things at play. Of course the gvernment is to blame but I also feel the christians in this country are not doing enough. Please help us pray.

Well, its not surprsing surely, in a world where the rich eat and the poor starve, and always have! This is not new, nor is it unique, Zim is one country, there are many others and even in our own fat west there are abused and ill treated people
Keep working on the worlds problems, one day someone will find an answer!! Maybe not, Maybe there really will be a second coming
