Yep,
I agree, it does put it in perspective and we should remember to be constantly grateful, if for nothing else then for the pure luck of being born in a western country where others would be horrified if we lived like this. So horrified, someone would be arrested, the children would be fostered and the media would make a huge fuss! Why don't the media make a big fuss? Are these people less human?

The media in Zimbabwe has trouble making a fuss, because everything is censored. They're not allowed to print stories about children suffering because of Mugabe. However, when I was there we managed to get hold of an "illegal" newspaper printed overseas, and that newspaper did make a fuss. But obviousely, most people can't get ahold of it over there.
The people are definitely not less human. Princess' family, for example, are just doing what they have to do to...

I didn't mean they were less human. I meant why does or how can the rest of the world ignore their pain. I can't fathom the lack of humanity that is shown to our fellow travellers, they are our brothers
